National Trails Day Events

SBFC is hosting multiple events for National Trails Day (Saturday, June 1) and we’d love to see you!

  1. Volunteer Project at Sheafman Creek- Volunteer with SBFC on the Sheafman Creek Trail #082 in the Bitterroot (near Hamilton, MT). We will perform annual maintenance, including brushing vegetation back to widen the trail corridor with loppers, cleaning leaf litter and rocks from drains with a shovel, and using a crosscut or hand saw to clear any downed trees in the trail.

  2. YOUTH Volunteer Project at Sheafman Creek- Youth ages 12-18 can join us on National Trails Day and will be led by our dedicated Youth Program Director! Parents can drop off their teens at 9 AM at Sheafman Creek Trailhead and pick them up at 3 PM.

*There are volunteer spots set aside specifically for youth, so please use this link to sign up any volunteers ages 12-18!
