Call for Trail Scouts!
Are you passionate about trails and outdoor recreation? Want to contribute without committing to specific work dates? We need your help!
As a Trail Scout, you will play an essential role in helping us assess the condition of trails before our crews head out. Our staff can’t always scout every trail in advance, and that’s where you come in! If you enjoy hiking and exploration, and can objectively report on trail conditions, this is your chance to make a real difference!
What You’ll Do:
Hike designated trails and report back on their current conditions.
Identify maintenance needs, such as fallen trees, erosion, or other obstacles.
Evaluate water levels for creek crossings to ensure safe passage.
Assess potential drinking water sources and report on availability.
Identify suitable campsites for our group size.
This is a great way to get involved in trail maintenance without committing to specific workdays. Your input will help us better prepare our crews for maintenance work and ensure that trails stay in great shape! Mileage reimbursement may be available.
